Early B...unny

Our sweet little bunny has had some naughty moments lately... When we just moved to Jeff's parents, he was very confused and peed everywhere. This went over quickly (it only lasted 2 days) and we knew it was just a matter of him making this place feel like his new "home" (oh joy, he'll do it all again when we move to our house!).

We thought we were fine but last week I was sitting on my bed (we only have two rooms here and there's no door in between them, that's why the bunny can get to our bed) and eating one of these

He went totally crazy and almost attacked me to get a piece! Of course I didn't give him anything and he just hopped over and peed on our bed... Yes, he did. While doing it, he looked at me and the pee just kept on coming!
I couldn't believe my eyes... I put him in his cage and cleaned everything. Didn't have any problems after this so I thought we were fine... Again...

 Who, me? I didn't do anything!

Fast forward to this morning...
We have a mosquito net above our bed which keeps us safe from bites and from bunnies! Every morning around 7am Janneman starts to jump against the net until I let him in.
Usually Jeff's already gone to work but today Janneman came a little early. He jumped on the bed, hopped around a little and jumped on Jeff's lap. All of a sudden Jeff started screaming: "He's peeing!!!!! - I think - Oh no he's really peeing on me!!!!"

Yep... At 6.30 in the morning my husband got peed on because Janneman was jealous of him being next to me. I was not very flattered, bunny! Nobody wants to get up 1.5 hours early just to put all the bedding in the laundry... But I'm still happy he didn't pee on me hehe :)

Update

Dear friends,

I'm sorry for the unexpected break but we have been MOVING! We traded our appartment for two rooms at Jeff's parents' until we can move into our very own house. This wednesday we'll finally be signing the papers and we'll really be house owners! So exciting :)

We'll only get our keys mid-September because the guy will still be renting the house until he can move into his new place - you know ho it goes... 
Starting mid-September we'll do some large renovating works before moving in. We're talking taking down some walls, putting in heating (the guy living there has been heating the entire house with one little fire place!) and changing two windows into big doors to the garden.

Life has been good these past weeks, except when it turned out that Jeff's mom is allergic to our little bunny haha! She's fine as long as we keep Janneman in our attic-rooms. We just have to make sure it doesn't get too hot in there!

I'll be back soon with more posts now we're finally settled a bit.

Saturday was joke's wedding! It was such a great party, everything felt so natural and happy :)

I'll leave the pictures up to her but here's one from when I had just put the cake together, it still needed some work but the owner of the place was kinda looking at what I was doing so I didn't want to take too many pictures. I promise to share a better one as soon as Joke sends me them!

And last but not least!
Some friends of ours invited us over for dinner this week and they had a suprise for us!
The guy is a chocolatier (I didn't find a translation... He basically makes things out of chocolate!) and he made us this beauty for our one year anniversary!

 

So sweet! He made something similar for our wedding :)

We told him that we'll be expecting this every year now hah!
I love friends that take the time to think of something to suprise us with, to make us happy! That's my favorite kind of friend :)

Bunnylove

These last weeks Janneman has been changing. It is clear that he feels at home and he is investigating all the places he didn't see before. He found out he can hide under our couch (where all the wires lie... Oops...) and he's trying to climb things he shouldn't climb!

"What?! I'm not doing anything, I'm just sitting here!!"

It kinda gets annoying when he starts to climb all over my face to lick me... Weird little bunny :-)

Count your blessings

I've been a bit down lately (hence the no-blogging), so I thought I should count my blessings to lift my mood a bit!
I'm really blessed but still depressive thoughts keep creeping in my mind...
So here we go!

* I have an AMAZING husband! He loves me and wants nothing more than to make me happy!

* I have this little bunny that is just the cutest thing ever!
When I'm having my quiet time he comes sitting next to me to snuggle and nap...

 

* I spent a lot of time doing my favourite hobby... Baking!

* We have a great place to live in, even though it's just for now.

* I have some amazing friends!

This was at a Goodbye Party in our basement (Church venue, not part of our home)!

* I believe in the greatest God and I know that I'm a saved Christian! This is the greatest blessing ever and a source of joy!

What are some of your blessings??
Am I the only one that sometimes forgets about them and starts to be all sad and sorry for myself? Haha!

My 23st birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday! And I had an amazing day, thanks to my wonderful husband.

I already got my "big" present, which is our sweet bunny Janneman.
He's so cute and funny to watch! He jumps around, sits on our lap and 'makes us' pet him, he's just the best bunny ever!

One of my readers asked me what the funniest thing is that he has done so far. He tried to jump the seats and failed twice! He looked a bit bummed about that and I really laughed SO hard! Jeff was very disappointed that he missed it twice because now Janneman is able to get on the seats so it's not as funny anymore ;)

Jeff also got me some earrings so I also had a present yesterday.

We went to eat breakfast in IKEA (1 euro! And so yummy!)
and we got some new bedding. My in-laws gave me a coupon for IKEA and I already knew which bedding I wanted!

Now I need some more BIG pillows to put behind those small ones! Haha!

After that we went to pick up some  stuff for the wedding cake I'm going to make this Saturday. It's so exciting but I'm totally confident it'll work out! It just has to!

We ate lunch with another coupon we got for our wedding. The place we went to was called "Caffè Caffee" and it was so cozy there! The food was very good as well and the service was great.
Definately a place we would go back!

In the afternoon we kinda chilled, got some more wedding cake stuff and then I had my very first baking class! We made cheese cookies (which I didn't like. I felt like they needed salt but the teacher told us it would be salt enough... Now they taste like something's missing... Guess what that is?! Yeah...). We also made croissants with a filling of ansjovies (nobody really liked that besides Jeff hah!) and a filling of mozzarella and sundried tomatoes which was very good! And one of the students made some cocktails and those were also very good!

I had so much fun in class and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

And then there's one more surprise I got!!!
About a week ago I got an e-mail from Kelly from Something Shiny that I won her giveaway!!! I was SO excited. When she sent me the package I thought it would take about 3 weeks to get to me, but it arrived yesterday! On my birthday! It was like she sent me an extra surprise birthday present :)

Now I'm back to my study for my last exam... I'm so tired of it! And it started freezing and somehow our heating went off! I'm hoping Jeff will be home soon 'cause I'm just freeeezing... :(

Homemade Sugar Cubes

My exam yesterday went well (I'm so happy!)
And I figured I could give myself some time to do something crafty!

And I chose this little project from pinterest!

Homemade sugar cubes!

What do you do:

-Take 1/2 cup of sugar 

-Mix in a tsp of water untill it's all moist and a bit crumbly

-Put the sugar mixture into a microwave-suitable mold

-Put in the microwave for 40 sec

-Let dry/cool for a couple of minutes

-Unmold carefully

My result:

Little flowershaped sugar cubes!!
The pink ones are coloured with food coloring. You just color the sugarmixture.

These are great to make something special for a party!

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes: I feel like I need a snack and grab some cookies
Always: I eat the whole package!

Sometimes:I look at my sweet Janneman and think I want to hug him all the time
Always: I LOVE looking at him jump around throughout the room!

Sometimes: Jeff goes out for the night (guys bible study, other appointments)
Always: I miss him and try to stay awake untill he's back!

Sometimes: I want to surprise a friend and do something totally crazy for their wedding!
Always: I'm not sure if I can pull this thing off!!!
Can't tell any more because if people read what it is, and I can't do it, they'll be sad! haha :)

I just call him Janneman ofcourse, but Jeff calls him Jan hehe..
